Hey, I am Nitin from New Delhi, India. I am learning to code because i want to learn how the stuff works. I have previous knowledge of C,C++. But as i was thinking about the jobs, i came to know about free code camp which is very helpful in enhancing my skills further by giving me opportunity to work on interesting project.
I am learning at fast pace due to my background in programming. I think i will be able to do good in this place as it is very user friendly and forums are too good.

Hello. My name is Steven, I am 22 years old and I have been coding for one full year now. I started a Software Development degree at a local technical college and will later continue into computer science major at a four year college. I joined free code camp to practice using some of my current coding skills and have fun learning as much as possible along the way. It is exciting to know that there are people that are just as passionate and motivated about the wonderful world of software.

Hello Campers!

My name is Houmam Hatahet and i am a second year SE student

I have some knowledge about JAVA, C++, C#, JSP, PHP, Bootstrap, CSS, SQL, PLSQL (and Photoshop)

I came here due to many recommendations i received from some of my friends.

Glad to meet you all, and i hope i will be able to contribute and learn as much as possible in this rich community!

Hello! My name is Regina and till now I was Marketing Specialist.

I want to change my career path and become programist since I think that itā€™ll suit me  . Actually right now Iā€™m after bootcamp for Back-End Developers (mainly PHP, MySQL, Symfony2 with HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and Iā€™m looking for a job to learn more.

My friend from bootcamp gave me the link to freeCodeCamp and here I am, hope to learn more and to recall things that I already forgot (well front-end wasnā€™t my strong point from the beginning  ).

Nice to meet you all!

Hello everybody.

My name is Lea and I live in the northern suburbs of Cape Town, South Africa.

I am a professional graphic designer.

I fell in love with learning to code when I was following a tutorial on how to create custom Wordpress themes. In that tutorial, I learned a lot about html, css and some php. I started to realize how little I knew, which motivated me to learn more.

From there, I have been watching various videos and visiting all the various websites that teach code. Iā€™ve read many articles and Iā€™ve even asked a question on stackoverflow. I realized that I need to jump in right at the bottom and work my way up so that I have the fundamentals. This way, when I do my own research, I will be able to interpret correctly the information I find.

I would LOVE to be able to create beautiful websites as part of the services I offer my clients. Of course, I also have the burning desire to realize the vision that I have for my own website, which is currently just a custom domain pointed towards a predefined template.

I get very excited when I see how my artistic skills can work together with my analytical and problem-solving skills to provide something that everybody pretty much needs these days. My country is full of people starting their own businesses, who need everything from the most basic corporate identity solutions right through to a professional and polished online presence that doesnā€™t cost them an arm and a leg.

I really do enjoy lifelong study and I feel that the ability to code is that special piece of the puzzle that is going to give me a truly unique and well-rounded skill set.

Hello, World!

  • My name is Viacheslav and I'm from Ukraine.
  • The reason why I'm here - is to challenge myself by developing in completely new (for me) field and hopefully to continue as a professional web-developer.
  • I tried to learn basics from books but it was boring. I think the best way to learn coding is to code daily
  • Actually I started the course somewhere in early spring this year but then some hard time on my main job make me stop. Itā€™s a shame but I need to start over again. Wish me luck

Hello! My name is Jon Ziefle. I am using Free Code Camp to get a deeper understanding and broader knowledge of web technologies, supplementing my CS degree. I currently am a web developer for a large company, and I want to bring more innovation this way.

Hello campers, my name is Darren Sexton I am here to improve my skills as a developer

    Hi!

I'm a media student from Finland who decided to specialize on web design as a major.

My journey with coding has been an interesting one. I went through a mandatory "Make your own portfolio with lego HTML" and decided to dive deeper into CSS. The natural step was to take a summer course. With the attention span of a puppy, I happily went and enrolled myself into a course called C freaking ++, for advanced students. Needless to say, it was hell - as a student I desperately needed the support money that we get from the government during studies, so I had to pass. And I did, after hours and hours of work and sleepless nights.

After that, I had a good basis to dive into C#. I made a few simple games and enjoyed my time with coding, but decided that games are not my field.

I started making mobile apps and learning more and more about SQL and XML. But mobile apps were not my style either.

I landed an internship with a local business that does e-commerce and different kinds of web services and in a few weeks, I became a HTML5, Bootstrap and CSS3 wizard. The learning curve was so much faster in the right environment. Now my goal is to learn more about Javascript, Sass, PHP, jQuery and everything related to the awesome web. Design and art are my passions and doing web design really combines everything that I love.

See you in the help thread :eyeglasses:

Hey everyone, my nameā€™s Greg. Iā€™m a Peace Corps volunteer doing community and youth development work in Mongolia. I work with both secondary and university students, as well as their teachers and school social workers. Iā€™m learning to code to be able to get the Mongolian youth started on their tech skills. So far, Iā€™ve done exercises with Hour of Code and Codecademy, but Iā€™m quite enjoying freeCodeCampā€™s curriculum, so Iā€™m staying put right here.

I want to make awesome stuff and gain experience

    Hi All,

This is my hello world to the forums post. My name is James and I have been interested in programming for awhile and have been dipping my toes in with Coursera courses mostly.

I found my way here because Cousera is changing and taking the freemium courses just isnā€™t worth it anymore. The FCC looks like a good way to continue my education.

I would love a job in software development. Its going to be very difficult to prove myself since been a stay at home dad for a few years. Before that I worked shortly for a discrete semiconductor manufacturer and there is no chance of me going back to that work, although I did enjoy it.

From reading some of the post, it looks like there is a huge untapped talent pool from which employers will be able draw. I look forward to learning from as many of my fellow FCCā€™ers as possible.

    Best,

    James
